MetroCouple_450x3751.jpg  Good lord!!!  So Ryan & I woke to a media frenzy this morning ~ Posh & Becks had NOTHING on us!!!

Check it out to hear all about us.  For the real story, obviously ask us instead.  Talk about misquoted!!!

We also did a radio interview this morning which was absolutely hilarious!  Made better still by the fact that Mum managed to get through & say her bit!  Not like Mum at all hey?  We’ll try & get the radio interview up as soon as we can.

We really never expected to have this much coverage about the engagement & are totally surprised by the fuss that the Metro is making.  Let’s just hope that the wedding & the marriage lives up to the same high standards!

WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT

Friday, May 25th, 2007

So I’m going to be Mrs Ryan Hunt!!!!

Ryan proposed to me on Saturday.  It was a TOTAL surprise! It was our anniversary on Monday & I was thinking he might do it then, or when we go away this weekend, but he said he wanted to do it so that I wasn’t expecting it & I have to say, I WASN’T!!!

How did it happen?  Well, he cooked me a delicious dinner & then we went in the lounge to watch a movie. Hilariously we ended up watching ‘The Break Up’.  We’re sat there & Ryan says ‘you need popcorn, you never watch a movie without it, I’m going to make you some’. I have to say, I’d just stuffed myself with noodles, so the last thing I wanted was a huge bowl of popcorn. Anyway. He came back in with the bowl & I sat munching on it ~ so much for not wanting it!  Picture the scene. The lights were off, the room is only lit by the TV, I’m avidly watching Jennifer Aniston scream at Vince Vaughn. I look down in to the bowl & there’s a mouse tail in the bowl!!!!! I screamed, threw the bowl on to the floor & started yelling like a fish wife ‘there’s a mouse, Ryan, there’s a mouse!!! I was screaming blue murder.

Ryan was desperately trying to calm me down, saying ‘pick up the bowl, it’s not a mouse, you need the bowl, pick it up’. Eventually I picked it up & looked in the bowl. He was right, it wasn’t a mouse, but a black velvet pouch. Quizzically, I pulled it out & opened the pouch. Inside was a charm for my charm bracelet, an engagement ring charm!!!!!!!!! I stared at Ryan, mouth open, speechless for the first time in my life. He looked at me & said ‘So I was wondering if you would like to marry me?’ ~ my mind went blank & I just sat there for what felt like an age until Ryan said ‘you really need to answer me now, you’re scaring me!’. Of course I said yes, cried lots & ran around the house screaming!!

It was the perfect proposal & utterly unexpected. He delivered it perfectly & made me feel like I will remember it forever. I do eat popcorn with every movie & from now on I’ll always be looking for a pouch!

We went to order the ring last night! It’s gonna be about a month before I get it, but it’s worth the wait!! We have to go in next week to pick the diamond (as if I have a clue what I’m looking at ~ they could give me a cubic zarconia for all I’ll know!!).  Then they send it off to get it put in to the shank.  This is what it will look like, although it will be silver not gold ….. ring.jpg….. what do you think?

There’s SO much to think about but we’re just trying to enjoy being engaged for the moment, although in true Kelly style I’m already all over it pestering Ryan with colours & themes & favours!

We absolutely can’t wait to share this with you all & I’m really looking forward to keeping you updated on our plans xx

It’s nearly here!!!  No not Christmas, I’m over that already ~ Egypt peoples, Egypt!!!  Ryan & I fly out of London on the 15th December at 10pm for almost 3 weeks of visiting old stuff, getting sand in all our crevices, dihorrea til we drop & I can not wait!

Ryan had his jabs today (I had mine when I went last time 3 years ago), so we’re fully locked & loaded now.  All we have to do is pack & then we’re ready.  We’ve got one more Christmas day to spend with Marc & Gillian this weekend then it’s all systems go!  Can you tell I’m excited?

As you will see from the itinerary entry that I posted a few weeks back, we really do have a full schedule on our hands, but as Ryan reminded me, we may as well do it while we get the chance ~ we’ve got so much more that we want to explore in the world, who knows when we’ll get back there.  It’s gonna be great!  Plus if I get dissentary, it will help me with my target weight loss :0D

I don’t think we will be able to contact everyone while we are away, but knowing Ryan, he will be able to sniff out an internet connection at a 100 camel paces & we’ll get a post or two up while we’re there.  We will certainly be updating you & boring you all with photos when we get back, so be prepared.

But if I don’t get to say it before I go, or indeed during our trip ….

PLEASE STAY SAFE UNTIL WE GET BACK.  MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT xxx

US = 18 months

Tuesday, November 21st, 2006

So today is mine & Ryan’s 18 month anniversary ~ a year & a half since our first fateful date.  How time has flown.  It’s such a short time on paper, but it seems like forever to us.

We’re celebrating our anniversary in complete style, utter decadence, total rock n roll manner ~ babysitting my gorgeous God Daughter & her fantastic big brother.  How crazy are we?!  I can tell I’m making you green with envy at the thought!  We’re so outrageous!

I love it though, we are having so much fun together & are really excited about our trip next month.  Life is breezy right now.  It’s winter nearly & the sun is bursting out of the sky, through the trees in the park, aah isn’t life great!

Just a quick note to encourage you all to check out my friend Melanie’s paintings on my site ~ they’re brilliant & more importantly for sale!

I think she’s got a talent for painting & if you do too, please pass the information on to your friends & family in case they might be interested.  It can be shipped anywhere in the world & she is happy to negotiate on price.  So please, help a budding artist ~ you never know you might get it cheap now & it could be worth a fortune on the Antiques Roadshow in years to come!!

Click through here.  Thanks xx
